Jason Explains our Planter Box Range

Hide video transcript Show video transcript

When it comes to planter boxes, we have a huge range from your whites to your maple, to your black planter box. We even have a natural Oak and a dark Oak. The reason why we do our planter boxes in so many options is, you know, what we do with what we call our uniform melamine, which is our wood range is it's modular in nature.

So instead of putting a top on the unit, we actually swapped the top up for a planter, a box. So the unit really looks great. And you don't have a double thing happening where you've got a top and then the planter and you get a beautiful look.  We can add it to our sliding door credenzas, the 750 high.

We can add it to a 900 high which then makes it about 1100. We can even add it to our uniform cupboards. Whether you have a single cupboard, double, or triple, we can add planter boxes, and really make a bit of a feature statement in the office. Or look to divide space by just adding on the planters. Again, we add on the planter, but we do not have the top as well so it really looks smart and it's really thought about and a great option to soften your office space.

Customers Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do you put on the bottom of a planter box?

In order to make sure that your drainage is correct in your office planter box, add things like gravel, broken tiles or pea pebbles over the existing drainage holes before adding soil.
  • Do planter boxes need a bottom?

Planter bottoms usually are slatted, with some type of semi-permeable cloth barrier which permits drainage. Raised beds, however, do not have bottoms; they are open to the ground, which offers the benefit of permitting plant roots to go further into the ground for available nutrients.
  • How do you protect the inside of a planter box?

Line the inside of the wooden planter box with thick plastic. Thick, 6 mil polyethylene sheeting, commonly used for greenhouses, works well -- but even a plastic trash bag can be used to waterproof the inside of the planter. For best results, fold the trash bag in half to double the thickness of the liner.
