Jason Explains our Standing Tables Range

Hide video transcript Show video transcript

When I talk to the team about the benefits - it allows you to create this informal area where you can sit. Some people can have coffee without having to make it slightly awkward with somebody standing over them. So that's standing tables in regards to collaboration and casual breakouts.

As you can see, we have a huge range. Anything from what we have here, which is our Quadro A Leg on wheels. We do this in white, black, and even a wood. We can also do a square leg. We can do a huge variety of sizes, depending on which range we go with.

If you're looking for just a standing table for yourself, again, the same rules apply. There are a bunch of different ranges and sizes that we could probably find a solution to. Just let us know.

Standing Tables Buying Guide: Elevating Your Office Experience

As the modern office landscape evolves, so does our understanding of ergonomics and workplace well-being. Standing tables, also known as stand-up desks or height-adjustable desks, have gained popularity for their potential health benefits and improved productivity. This comprehensive buying guide explores the world of standing tables from an office furniture perspective, helping you make informed decisions that go beyond mere aesthetics.

Understanding the Benefits of Standing Tables

Ergonomic Advantages

Standing tables are designed to promote better posture and reduce the negative effects of prolonged sitting. By allowing users to switch between sitting and standing positions, these tables contribute to improved ergonomics, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal issues such as back pain and stiffness.

Enhanced Productivity and Focus

Studies suggest that standing tables can enhance productivity by preventing the mid-afternoon slump associated with sedentary behavior. The ability to change positions throughout the day keeps employees more engaged and alert, fostering a conducive environment for creativity and focus.

Key Features to Consider

Height Adjustability

One of the critical features of standing tables is height adjustability. Opt for a model that offers a broad range of height options to accommodate users of varying statures. This ensures that each employee can customize their workspace for optimal comfort and productivity.

Stability and Durability

Considering the dynamic nature of standing tables, stability is paramount. Look for tables with a robust construction, sturdy materials, and a reliable lifting mechanism. This not only ensures safety but also contributes to the longevity of the furniture.

Workspace Surface

The surface area of the standing table is another crucial factor. Assess your workspace needs, considering the required space for monitors, keyboards, documents, and other essentials. Some standing tables come with additional features like built-in cable management systems or adjustable keyboard trays, enhancing overall functionality.

Ease of Adjustment

A user-friendly adjustment mechanism is essential for seamless transitions between sitting and standing. Electric or pneumatic mechanisms are popular choices, providing smooth and quiet adjustments with minimal effort. Consider the ease of use to encourage regular changes in posture.

Aesthetics and Design

While functionality is key, the visual appeal of the standing table should not be overlooked. Choose a design that complements your office decor and promotes a professional atmosphere. Some models even offer customizable finishes, allowing you to tailor the aesthetics to your preferences.

Health and Wellness Considerations

Ergonomic Accessories

To maximize the benefits of standing tables, consider ergonomic accessories such as anti-fatigue mats, monitor arms, and ergonomic chairs for when employees choose to sit. These additions create a comprehensive ergonomic workspace that promotes overall well-being.

Training and Usage Guidelines

Introducing standing tables to the office requires proper training and guidelines. Educate employees on the correct usage of standing tables, emphasizing the importance of alternating between sitting and standing to avoid overexertion. Provide resources on proper posture and encourage regular breaks.

Budget Considerations

Cost vs. Quality

While budget considerations are inevitable, it's crucial to strike a balance between cost and quality. Investing in a durable and well-designed standing table may initially seem pricier, but the long-term benefits in terms of employee health and productivity often outweigh the upfront expense.

Return on Investment

View standing tables as an investment in your employees' well-being and productivity. Consider the potential return on investment in terms of reduced absenteeism, increased employee satisfaction, and enhanced work performance when evaluating the overall cost-effectiveness.

Customizing the Standing Experience

Flexibility in Office Layout

Integrating standing tables into the office layout requires a thoughtful approach. Consider creating designated areas or providing flexible office furniture arrangements that accommodate both standing and traditional desks. This fosters a dynamic work environment that caters to diverse work preferences.

Employee Feedback and Adaptation

Regularly seek feedback from employees using standing tables to understand their experiences. This ongoing dialogue allows for adjustments and improvements, ensuring that the office environment evolves in line with employee needs and preferences.

Investing in standing tables goes beyond acquiring new office furniture; it's a strategic move towards creating a healthier and more dynamic workplace. By considering key features, health and wellness considerations, budget factors, and customization options, you can make informed decisions that positively impact your office environment. Embrace the standing revolution, elevate your office experience, and empower your employees to work in a way that promotes both physical well-being and professional productivity.
