Acoustic

Around 29-30 dB of reduction is the difference between hearing every word of a call and hearing a faint murmur. It works outbound too: the loud salesperson stops being everyone else's problem.

Privacy
Private chats finally have a private place.
Reviews, interviews, health conversations, client commercials. A defensible place to have them without booking the boardroom a week out. For many organisations this is the real business case.
Be realistic
A pod is not a soundproof room. A raised voice inside is inaudible outside - a shouted argument isn't. We'll tell you if a pod isn't the right answer for your space.

Are office pods actually soundproof?
No pod is soundproof, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. Ours reduce sound by roughly 29-30 dB, so a normal-volume conversation inside is not intelligible outside.
Do I need an electrician?
No. Pods plug into a standard wall outlet with a three-pin plug. You only need an electrician for a new GPO or floor box closer to the pod.
How much clearance does a pod need?
Allow roughly 200 mm of clear air above the pod, and keep at least one side near the floor unobstructed so air can enter.
Will my landlord need to approve it?
Generally not - a pod is freestanding furniture, not a fixed partition. Some buildings have a fitout protocol for anything under a sprinkler head, so check with building management.
How many pods do we need?
Roughly one single pod per 15-20 desks on a call-heavy floor, plus one meeting booth per 30-40 people. Send a floorplan and headcount and a planner will size it properly.
How does it get into the building?
Pods arrive as flat panels, so the constraint is the largest panel. Measure your lift car, lift door and tightest corridor turn. Upper floors, after-hours access or a hoist are quotable extras.
Can a pod be moved later?
Yes. The Dune Small has concealed lockable wheels and can be dismantled and reassembled. Nest booths are dismantled and rebuilt by our installers.
What's the warranty?
Five years on the Dune Small, and five years on the Nest main frame with two years on electrical devices, based on normal office use.
