Jason Explains our Decor, Pots & Plants Range

Different options for, pots, plants, and decor in an office are around how to bring together functionality with a bit of softness. What we often look at is, you know, putting some greenery into an area, but also making the greenery functional.

So for example, what we have here is a tambour door storage unit with planter boxes that we've then gone and provided a little bit of greenery. So it gives that soft feeling and also doubles up as a bit of privacy. So when people are walking through the corridor, the people sitting at the end of the workstations don't feel like people are walking and talking on top of them.

Here's another great example of how we're using greenery and a storage option to divide space without making it feel boxy. And so it has that open feel so that when your team is sitting on the other side of the office, they can still see somebody walking in, but they get the dividing of space.

Some other things that we like to do are put some floral decor, and some pots around the reception area, potentially in a meeting or a boardroom, just to give that softer feel. That warmth that people have come to expect in an office.

Customers Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the best office plants?

When selecting an office plant, consider the level of maintenance required, your space restraints and the design of your office. Some affordable options are:

  • What's are the best plants to keep on my office desk?

Office desk plants should be small so as not to take up valuable space, add a splash of colour to the area and create an atmosphere that keeps you calm and focused. Why not try:

    • A Peace Lily
    • A terrarium
    • Chinese evergreens
    • Mini succulents
  • How can I decorate my office desk?

    • Create a small space for ornaments
    • Hang framed pictures and inspirational photos
    • Add a small plant like a mini succulent
    • Bring in a vase and some fresh flowers
  • Can you plant directly into office decorative pots?

If you're going to foray into direct planting, no-drainage containers work best when given proper bright light. Most failure comes from placing these pots in shady spots, to which the soil isn't able to dry out properly causing root rot.
  • How do you maintain an office plant?

Make sure that you water it regularly as that's key to the plant's growth. Natural lighting is another factor that helps in the growth of plants. Also, change pots as it grows.
  • Is it good to have plants in the office?

Office plants help increase productivity and replenish focus. People spend longer in spaces with biophilic designs, and workplace happiness improves when natural elements are introduced.
