Objectives
The brief
The client wanted to fit 23 people into their new offices, using a minimum of 1600mm per desk. Each person needed their own space and required storage. A certain level of privacy was needed, however the client wanted the access to the desks to be very easy, as their employees login and out of their desks, multiple times during the day. Being an IT company all employees tended to use equipment with many cables, so a cost effective cable management system was required, for each employee. Additionaly each employee was going to use 4 monitors per desk. The client was very budget conscious and asked the JasonL team, to reccomend the most economic approach to this fitout. Aesthetically the client wanted clean lines and a neutral colour scheme, with a professional feel.
The process
Taking into account the clients objectives and brief, the JasonL team started with a sketch supplied by the client. Using this sketch a CAD, to scale plan of the Greenlight offices, was designed. Desktop colours and chairs were decided on. The JasonL team provided the client with a comprehensive quote including all products, delivery and installation costs.
Solution
The end result is that the client opted for a majority white / parchment colour, with privacy screen in an Ash fabric. A bench system was decided on to meet all of the objectives above. This also enabled employees to share cable management baskets and desk legs, ultimately saving the client money. This solution also enabled the client with the flexibility to add further desks onto the bench, when they are required.
